DramaBloom Privacy Policy

Short Drama Application for Mobile Devices

Effective date: 16 October 2026
Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. About This Policy and Who We Are

This Privacy Policy sets out how DramaBloom processes personal data belonging to people who use the DramaBloom application and the services connected with it. It is written to satisfy the transparency obligations imposed by the data protection legislation applicable in the markets where DramaBloom is distributed.

For the purposes of this Policy, the entity that determines the purposes and means of the processing described below is referred to as "DramaBloom", "we", "us" and "our", and acts as data controller or in an equivalent capacity under local law. Where we engage suppliers to process personal data on our documented instructions only, those suppliers act as our processors and are bound by written terms. Where a partner determines its own purposes, it acts independently and its own notice applies.

Headings are included for ease of navigation and do not affect interpretation. Terms such as "personal data", "processing", "controller" and "data subject" carry the meaning given to them by the law applicable to you.

2. Personal Data We Process

We process personal data in four ways: information you give us, information generated by your use of the service, technical data transmitted by your device, and information reported to us by partners.

We do not seek access to your precise geolocation, contacts, or microphone. We do not intentionally process special categories of personal data such as data concerning health, religious beliefs, or political opinions.

We create aggregated and de-identified datasets, for example to report how many users completed a series. Such datasets cannot reasonably be used to identify you and fall outside the scope of this Policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing

Where the law of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland applies, we must identify a legal basis for each processing purpose. The table below summarises the position.

Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time through the application, your device settings, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Where legitimate interests are the basis, we have balanced those interests against your rights and expectations, and you may object as described in Section 9.

Some processing is necessary for us to provide the service you have requested. If the required data is not provided, we may be unable to create your account, deliver episodes, or maintain an entitlement.

4. Cookies, SDKs and Local Storage

Because DramaBloom is a mobile application, the technologies we use are primarily software development kits and local device storage rather than browser cookies. The principles described below apply equally to both.

The analytics and advertising categories are used only to the extent permitted by your choices. Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled without disabling the service, because the application cannot operate without them. You may clear locally cached data at any time by removing and reinstalling the application.

5. Advertising, Profiling and Recommendations

DramaBloom may support its free tier with advertising, including rewarded formats in which watching an advertisement unlocks a benefit. Advertising and mediation partners may receive device signals, advertising identifiers, IP address, app events, advertisement impressions and clicks, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Where you have permitted tracking, advertising may be selected using information about your activity across other companies' applications and websites. Where you have not permitted tracking, advertising is still displayed but is not personalized on that basis. In both cases, advertising may rely on contextual information, such as the content you are viewing, and on your approximate region.

Content recommendations are generated from usage data such as viewing history, favourites, ratings, and search activity. Recommendations are intended to improve the relevance of the catalogue; they do not produce legal or similarly significant effects.

On iOS, tracking permission is requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and may be changed at any time in your device settings. On other platforms, equivalent advertising and privacy controls are provided by the operating system. Industry opt-out mechanisms are also available at https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.

We do not sell personal data in exchange for money. Where local law characterizes certain advertising disclosures as a "sale" or "sharing", you may opt out using the methods described in Section 9.

6. Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data is disclosed only as set out below. Recipients are required to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

7. Transfers Outside the EEA and the United Kingdom

DramaBloom is operated using servers, suppliers, and partners located in several countries. Personal data may therefore be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country outside the one in which you live, including countries that have not been the subject of an adequacy decision.

Where such transfers occur, we put appropriate safeguards in place. Depending on the circumstances, these may include standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority, supplementary technical and organizational measures, binding corporate rules, or reliance on a derogation such as your explicit consent. You may request further information about the safeguards used by contacting us.

8. Retention Periods

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, including meeting legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

10. How to Exercise Your Rights

Rights may be exercised using the contact details in Section 14, through in-app support, or through the account settings where a control is available. We may need to verify your identity and your connection to the account before acting on a request.

We respond within the period prescribed by applicable law and, where a request is complex, may extend that period as permitted and explain the reason. If we are unable to act on a request, we will explain why and set out any available appeal or complaint route.

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

11. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure or access. Measures include encryption of data in transit, role-based access control, logging of administrative activity, vendor due diligence, and contractual confidentiality obligations.

Where a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, affected individuals, in accordance with applicable law.

12. Children

DramaBloom is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age set by local law. Where the law requires parental consent, we do not knowingly process the personal data of children without it. Users under 18 should use the application only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us without the required consent, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Automated Decision-Making

We use automated processing to rank content and to select advertising. These processes support the relevance of what is shown to you. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. You may object to advertising-related profiling as described in Section 9.

14. Updates and Contact

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the service, in technology, or in legal requirements. Where a change materially affects the way personal data is handled, we will provide notice by appropriate means before the change takes effect, or obtain consent where required.

Questions about this Policy, requests relating to your rights, and complaints may be sent to the address below.
